It   was accommodated in 2001 on the basis of the former Zhangjiadu Town and Aiguo   Township. It gets its name from Kuocang Mountain in the area. It covers an   area of 156 square kilometers. It has 47 administrative villages. The   population here is 46 thousand. It is 20 kilometers away from the city area.   Hangzhou—Shaoxing—Taizhou Expressway has one of its exits here. Jinhua—Taizhou   Railway and No.35 provincial road run across the area. It boasts rich tourism   resources. Kuochang Mountain is the place in China which received the first   ray of sunshine in 21st century. The highest peak Mishailang,   which is the highest in south-east Zhejiang province, is 1382.4 meters above   sea level. Jiutai Valley is one of Zhejiang Top 10 Beautiful Valleys.   Huangshitan is titled China Traditional Village. Zhangjiadu Ancient Street is   also a beautiful scenic spot. Ultimate Tsaigu in Kuocang Mountain, Peach   Flower Festival, hundred-kilometer trail walking are acclaimed by many   people. It has been titled National Ecological Town, National Forest   Park(Kuocang Mountain), Zhejiang East China Sea Culture Town, Zhejiang Town   Strong in Tourism. In 2017, the industrial product amounts to 525 million   Yuan RMB(about USD 81 million). The tax totals 44.64 million Yuan RMB(about   USD 7 million).
