It   was accommodated in 1992. It covers an area of 99.5 square kilometers. It has   three working areas and 39 administrative villages. The population here is 54   thousand. The town is one of the most important areas producing seedless   oranges in China. Orange planting area reaches 33 square kilometers. Its   yearly yield reaches 70 thousand tons. The seedless oranges are one of the   wonders of Linhai in that the oranges can be eaten without peeling. There are   many scenic spots and historical sites in the area, such as Yan’en Temple,   Nanping Academy of Classical Learning, Lantian 18 Pools, Yangmeizhou   Waterfall, and so forth. It has been titled China Green Town, National   Ecological Town, Zhejiang Orange Base. Ship-building, pharmaceutical and   chemical manufacturing, machinery are the mainstay industries here. There are   over 200 companies, of which, 19 are large industrial enterprises. In 2017, the   industrial product amounts to 3.838 billion Yuan RMB(about USD 591 million).   The tax totals 142 million Yuan RMB(about USD 22 million).
