It   is located at the north bank of Taizhou Bay. It is titled National   Development and Reform Experimental Town, Zhejiang 1st Batch   Central Town, Zhejiang Experimental Town in Small City Cultivation, Zhejiang   Model City for Urban Comprehensive Improvement, Zhejiang Health City. It   covers an area of 186 square kilometers. It has seven neighborhood offices,   123 administrative villages, four communities. The population is 219   thousand. There are 1,298 companies, 104 of which are large industrial   enterprises. The town boasts pharmaceutical and chemical industry,   spectacles, and machinery. In 2017, its gross domestic product amounts to   15.408 billion Yuan RMB(about USD 2.4 billion). The industrial product totals   29.564 billion Yuan RMB(about USD 4.5 billion), of which, the large   industrial enterprises amount for 18.622 billion Yuan RMB(about USD 2.9   billion). The tax amounts to 1.644 billion Yuan RMB(about USD 253 million).
