Linhai   has been titled National Health City, Zhejiang Model City for Health   Emergency Response, Zhejiang Model Area for Chronic Disease Prevention and   Control. There are 686 medical service institutions, among which, one is Grade   III Level A hospital, two are Grade II Level A hospitals, one is hospital of   traditional Chinese medicine, one is Grade II Level B maternity and child   healthcare hospital, 19 community healthcare service centers, 22 community   healthcare service stations, 362 village healthcare clinics, 12 non-state   owned hospitals. There are 5,473 hospital beds and 7,370 medical staffs. In   2017, reform in state-owned hospitals was accelerated. Report and check   formation system in state-owned hospitals at municipal level is enforced. 1,151   people were newly recruited. 320 people were given title of senior   professional post. Fifty-one people from grass root medical institutions were   given title of senior professional post. Linhai Medical and Healthcare   Development Company was established. Fourteen key projects were started. Six   non-state owned medical institutions were introduced to Linhai. A new campus   for Linhai Maternity and Child Healthcare Hospital was built. Taizhoufu Road   Campus for Linhai Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine was built. Five   inpatient departments at municipal level were accommodated. Three discipline   centers at municipal level as orthopedics were accommodated. Six famous   doctor or famous expert workrooms were established. One town from Linhai was   named National Healthcare Town. 57.1% towns reached the standards for   provincial level healthcare towns. All towns reached the standards for   municipal level healthcare towns. Total income of state-owned medical   institutions reached 962 million Yuan RMB(about USD 148 million). Outpatients   reached 4.3035 million. 54,150 were discharged from hospital after recovery.   Birth rate was 95.61%. Sex ratio of the year was 109.03.
